The results were released for the Landscape Photographer Of The Year a number of weeks back and I am delighted and thrilled that my assistant Vicki Procter has had one of her photographs commended by the judges. Taken during a storm looking towards the Upper Esk it captures the moment perfectly and demonstrates her skills as a photographer.

I first met Vicki some 5 years ago and she has been a part of my working life assisting on my landscape photography workshops ever since. I find her views and her approach to teaching invaluable and I know that people who come on the workshops praise her very highly.

Not only is she good to work with but my wife Irene and I have become good friends with both Vicki and her partner Darian.

It couldn’t have worked out better.
