In a nice way, I am currently up to my eyes, here there and everywhere.
After a great week in Crete I haven’t stopped running workshops.
Not complaining but it hasn’t left much time for ‘me’.
I did manage a great day out last week with Vicky Procter were we explored the quarry over at Dinorwic in Snowdonia with John Rowell and Marion Waine. It is nice to venture out on your own without distractions but it is equally invigorating to go and enjoy the outdoors with friends. It also helps to deliver another perspective to what we see.
I never tire of exploring different ways to capture the landscape and my work is progressing in the quarries around the Lakes and North Wales.
It is important that we understand the areas that we work in and around but I would heartily recommend a visit to the museum of slate in Llanberis if that is the particular place you are going to visit.
I visited when they ‘closed down’ the quarries and opened the museum many moons ago and I am so glad they they decided to allow the area too ‘simply be.’ Of world importance, it needs to be enjoyed by all and although I advocate you go, as always, I have to mention that we need to take care. Whilst ‘they’ are happy for us to go and explore just watch your footing.
You won’t regret going!
Most of the next few months are taken up with my own workshops and those on behalf of FUJIFILM.
I look forward to meeting new and old friends on them.
In the meantime please take a look at my shop where I have added many new items.
Enjoy the summer.
I think this is it…..
