Occasionally, I receive enquiries from editors that are looking for images from my catalogue of the Lakes or Snowdonia for inclusion in magazines and books. I always feel privileged when these requests arrive.
Earlier this year, I was contacted by Vertebrate Publishing regarding a new book they were publishing called, ‘Peak Bagging The Wainwrights’ and as they liked my work, asked could I check the list of requirements that they’d sent me and would I forward any images that I felt were suitable.

I knew exactly what they were after, so searched my Lightroom catalogue and forwarded a few samples to them. They were delighted with what I had sent and told me that they would be using a number of them in their new book.
I received my copy a few weeks back and it is a real beauty. The attention to detail is excellent and the fact that you can download GPX files to ‘interact’ with the book is a great addition. Whilst the publishers have created a great and valuable tool for people who want to go ‘peak bagging,’ congratulations must go to the authors Karen and Dan Parker for their hard work in compiling this book.
It is now available on line and in all good outdoor shops.
