I was recently asked by the editorial team at AP to provide several articles for them.
The second has now just gone to print and is part of their ‘Behind The print’ feature.
I chose an image from Snowdonia of the Afon Idwal waterfall in the Ogwen Valley. It is an area I regularly visit with my family as it brings back great memories and finding a way to photograph it whilst doing it justice, like any image, is always a challenge.
It will be familiar to those who visit Cwm Idwal as you see it when you cross the bridge at the beginning of the trail up to Llyn Idwal. There is generally a breeze blowing which disturbs the trees either side of the falls and that would affect using a stopper as the trees would blur. On this particular day the wind had totally abated and so I took my opportunity.
I hope you enjoy the article and that you will be able to visit Cwm Idwal yourself.
Enjoy your photography!
