The Snowdonia National Park Authority voted to now use Yr Wyddfa and Eryri rather than Snowdon and Snowdonia when referring to the National Park and the mountain.
Yr Wyddfa stands at 3,560ft (1,085m) and attracts approximately 400,000 walkers a year. The numbers that visit the park as whole far exceeds that.
This name change will take time for the majority of non Welsh people to adapt to, so with respect to their wishes, I will be gradually introducing the name changes into my website as people will still refer to them by both names.
However you refer to them, I will always love the Park and the Mountain!
