I started photographing Intimate landscapes many moons ago and I am now delighted to see them appearing more and more. Maybe they will become a recognised genre? I hope so.
Personally, I prefer the phrase, ‘Integral’ than ‘Intimate’ but that’s what most are going with so lets stick with that.
I am delighted that my work has been recognised and as a result, I have been asked to be a judge on next years ‘Intimate Landscape’ competition.
I will keep you posted.
In other news, one of my images taken in the Esk valley is this months ‘winner’of the ‘Viewpoints’ section in the excellent ‘Outdoor Photography’ magazine.
I hope you enjoy looking at it. Whilst the view before me was beautiful, what I recall was being eaten alive by midges ha ha!
The weather is always a hot topic with us all and affects how we conduct our daily lives. As landscape photographers, we watch it like a hawk!
As we approach the back end of May, those weather folk now tell us that it is warming up and looks like the summer is coming so enjoy!
Now, where are my shorts…..
