"The view that you are witnessing is only seen from your perspective. Thats when 'we' as photographers decide to acquire it and put before others in the way that we saw it at that moment.

"Tim wore his British lions shirt on the first day and I knew we would get on. Whilst his father lives in Grange, Tim now lives and works in New Zealand as a Cardiologist. Really nice people to spend time with.

"From a work perspective those hazy summer days aren't very productive though. Although the 'green gown of summer' can occasionally produce some outstanding images, it is not the norm. i tend to go looking for closer work that can still be placed in my favourite location such as flowers on the fells above Wast Water.

"Irene had booked us in for a week in Provence and it did not disappoint. This was  our first real foray into France and it won't be our last."

"I like testing myself with new 'avenues' to explore and so I recently set myself a new task Namely to drive around my local area, (I know I should have walked but my back hasn't been great) and undertaking the newly christened, 'Drive By shooting'......

" I was on Birker Fell a couple of weeks back and you could hardly stand up. I was literally being battered by very strong winds. Had I had hair it would have been a mess....

"Sadly, I have seen some folk who arrive in the lakes and don't quite have that understanding. Dogs leaping right from the cars as the drivers pull up to admire the scenery and the animal bolts off onto the fells scattering sheep as they go. It is natural for the animal to behave that way, so we have to remind ourselves of our responsibilities."

"The people I know will always be respectful but if you see someone who doesn't understand the code, I am sure that you will take the appropriate course of action. A gentle word can go a long way. It can also get you an ear bashing from those that are sadly ignorant but I am sure that most will take heed and comply."

"It has been very Spring like this week with temperatures reaching the high teens in some parts but as pancake day approaches, will the white winter wonderland fall 'as flat' this year? Or will it arrive in April again and herald a colder Easter?"

"The tunnel has to undergo regular routine inspections and I was there to photograph that happening. The images will be used for publicity and some are to be framed and hung in their buildings."
